What a wonderful way to start the New Year!  I was excited to travel to Lake Mary, FL and capture a new venue. The Lake Mary Events Center had great natural lighting and a beautiful outdoor setting on the water. Their day was complete with everything a New Years wedding should have; a great party and plenty of sparkle. I loved the centerpieces and the glittered covered champagne bottles. Your family and friends were so welcoming and made us feel part of the party. One of my favorite moments from the day was during their reception, the DJ had them play the shoe game and the couple’s facial expressions were priceless! Kim and Carlos, I hope your wedding day was everything you hoped it would be. Everything was so beautiful and I am so honored to have been the one to capture it.

Desirae and Joe were married the day after Thanksgiving at the Lightner Museum during St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights. Usually when shooting a wedding this time of year I’m fighting the minutes to get the shots done before I lose all the light, but not this time. The lights were perfect and created a romantic setting for the couple’s pictures. Their reception was at the Bayview Room and was all about fun. Everyone wore props and danced the entire night. One of my favorite things about their wedding was the cake. It was delicious and the groom’s mother even made it.

The moment we arrived at the Sanchez House I was super impressed with Saundra’s style. There were so many personal details and touches. Colorful cloth pendents strung with lights, antique books, candle votives and paper hearts – everything was simply charming, which is exactly how I would describe Nick and Saundra’s entire day. Their ceremony and reception were both in the courtyard. Besides being a beautiful place surrounded by lush palms and coquina walls to share their vows – it was the perfect place to party. Their friends and family were such a fun group with dancing, a photo booth and my favorite – a Spice Girls sing off.

Ashley and Ryan’s wedding was full of family and laughter. Their ceremony was held at the Lakewood United Methodist Church on San Jose and after the couple celebrated at the St. John’s Golf and Country Club. This was the first time I’ve been to this venue and was happy to find  wonderful bridge for portraits. Yes, we had to wait between golfers but totally worth it. I also had fun because it’s not every venue that hands you a golf cart to ride around in.
