The Garden Club of Jacksonville | Jacksonville, Florida

If you love everything vintage, you’ll love Meghan and Steve’s Garden Club of Jacksonville wedding. On this special day the air was warm, the sun was shining and I arrived at the Omni to find a glowing bride and the most beautiful Anthropologie dress. Every detail was so thought out and the entire day was effortless. Meghan walked down the aisle with her father at Riverside Methodist Church to marry her cheerful groom, Steve. Afterwards we were lucky to have great light as we took photos at Riverside and Memorial Parks. One of my favorite shots of the day was as they were walking out of the park and Steve was holding Meghan’s dress. They stopped to kiss and it was simply perfect. I love sweet moments like this and they didn’t stop there. They joined their friends and family at the Garden Club for dinner, dancing and cake. Toasts were made with laughter and tears and the evening ended with guest releasing paper lanterns over the St. Johns River. It was a joy shooting Meghan and Steve’s wedding and hope their wish comes true.

San Marco | Jacksonville, Florida

Like many of my wedding couples, Emily and Blake have become dear friends and I was honored to be part of capturing their growing family. Finn was born on June 3 at 7 lbs 11 oz and 21.5″ tall. His nursery was painted with bright blues and green with space decor, books and words encouraging him to “dream big.” My favorite decoration was an original newspaper framed from the first man on the moon  – it is an heirloom that has been in Blake’s family. Finn is so lucky to have such wonderful parents and I know he will be a blessing in their lives.

Pisgah National Forest | North Carolina

If you’ve read my posts, you are familiar with my sister Sam. I love that I get to work with my sister and recently while shooting Katie and Travis‘s wedding in North Carolina we took some time to get in a maternity session. The last time we were here we fell in love with the landscape of Pisgah National Forest. This beautiful park has waterfalls, lush forests and babbling streams with stone river beds. Sam and Grant have been married for two years now and found out last October they were expecting their first baby. Everyone was overjoyed and know they will make great parents.

Symmes Chapel | Greenville, South Carolina

South Carolina is so beautiful and Symmes Chapel was simply one of the prettiest places I’ve ever seen, which makes sense why its affectionately called “pretty place.” This YMCA outdoor chapel in Greenville offers a breathtaking view from the top of Standing Stone Mountain. You know how much I love a good road trip and had been looking forward to Katie and Travis’ wedding ever since we did their engagement photos a year ago. There were so many things I loved about their wedding. The view, the flowers and most of all the couple. Shooting weddings, you see a lot of ceremonies, but never have I witnessed this level of pure joy. Travis had tears in his eyes the second Katie and her father came down the steps. You could just feel how excited they were to be getting married – I couldn’t help but get caught up in the emotion myself. I am so happy for them and it’s such an honor to capture moments like this!

Princess Beach, Destin, FloridaPINIMAGE

Princess Beach | Destin, Florida

I love destination weddings and Jacintha and Dave’s was totally worth the drive. Sam and I arrived in Destin Florida to find a beautiful house and a very exciting bride. Jacintha’s enthusiasm was contagious and I jumped right into shooting. My favorite detail shot had her ring and scrabble pieces from her grandmother’s game set. The couple rented a pair of beach houses for the weekend and had their ceremony on the white sands of Princess Beach. There were vases filled with green and blue sea glass, a steel drum player and all the guests were dressed to match. After “I do,” everyone celebrated at the beach house with a family style dinner catered by Carrabba’s Itlaian Grill. The evening was highlighted with marriage advice from their guests going in the order from the newest to oldest married couples. I think the best advice given was “she is always right.” Jacintha and Dave’s wedding was personal and spent with the people closest to them. I felt so lucky to have been a part of it and walked away with new friends.
