You may remember Amanda and Jamie as one of my wedding couple. They were married last year and I was so happy when I found out they were expecting a newborn baby girl. Harper was born March 19, 6.9lbs and 18 inches of perfection. We did the shoot at their home a weeks after and she was seriously adorable. I was in love with the little pink crochet crown Amanda had, but I know Jamie’s favorite was her New York Yankee bow.

Mandarin | Jacksonville, Florida

I meet Lisa and Pat back in October to shoot their wedding portraits at Alpine Grove Park. It was a great session and I was thrilled to have the park to ourselves. After an hour, it was clear that they were meant to be. The couple was married in March at their home in Mandarin. Every detail was thought of as they transformed their backyard in to the perfect wedding venue. By the pool, Lisa and Pat symbolized the blending of their two families with a traditional sand ceremony officiated by a close family friend. Some of my favorite moments from their wedding were the expressions of love from their children and family. Everyone had fun with the photo booth, dancing and even toasted marshmallows.

San Marco, Jacksonville, FloridaPINIMAGE

San Marco | Jacksonville, Florida

I have lived in Jacksonville for years and can’t believe I’ve never shoot in San Marco. I love the historic downtown and so happy when Jessica requested it as her anniversary location. Anniversary shoots are a great opportunity for a couple to celebrate their love and rekindle the fun from when they first got engaged. Jessica and Chris met while in school at Penn State. On a club retreat, this unaware couple had no idea they would meet the love of their life. Chris sat with some friends on the roof of a cabin overlooking a group of freshmen when he noticed Jessica standing nearby holding a farm kitten. He took this as an opportunity to introduce himself and the rest was history. They were married three years ago in Jessica’s hometown of  Moorpark, California. Still completely in love, Chris’s favorite thing about Jess is her sense of humor.  “No matter the circumstance, she never fails to make me laugh – whether we’re just watching TV on the couch or she’s lying in a hospital bed.”  Jessica loves that “he’s not afraid to have fun – he’ll climb a tree, go onstage for improv, or mountain biking. He’s always teaching me to be more light-hearted and not take myself so seriously.” After exploring San Marco and Treaty Oak with Jessica and Chris I am confident that they have many more anniversaries in front of them.

It was such a pleasure meeting Emily, Matt and their newborn baby boy, Oliver. They were so relaxed for new parents and everything just flowed smoothly. It also helped that Oliver was nice and sleepy when I arrived. I was so happy for all the natural lighting coming in through the french doors of their master bedroom – it was the perfect setting. After the family pictures were done, we played with some shots like putting Oliver on his dad’s surfboard. I am so happy for the Klein family and can’t wait to see their adventure unfold.

BallenIsles Country ClubPINIMAGE

BallenIsles Country Club | Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

You have love living in Florida. Especially when you can shoot a wedding in December and its a bright and breezy day. These Gators meet in school while studying medicine. Tiffany is a pediatrician and Daniel is working toward being an oncologist. They are the sweetest couple and so laid back. Because their ceremony was in the evening, it was important for us to get all the pictures in early. We did their fist look and portraits on the beautiful golf course of BallenIsles Country Club. My favorite spot was near a large banyan tree. Tiffany and Daniel’s wedding was full of tradition and remembrance. Tiffany’s mom passed away and to remember her, guest wore a small crystal ducks over their heart – that way her presence was felt throughout the day. I love the symbolism during the ceremony where the couple breaks the glass, which represents their marriage will last as long as it takes to put the glass perfectly back together (forever). Their family and friends made the reception with heartfelt toasts, silly photo booth props and the hora – the dance where the bride and groom are raised on chairs. It was a joyous day and one I will remember fondly.
