BallenIsles Country Club | Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

You have love living in Florida. Especially when you can shoot a wedding in December and its a bright and breezy day. These Gators meet in school while studying medicine. Tiffany is a pediatrician and Daniel is working toward being an oncologist. They are the sweetest couple and so laid back. Because their ceremony was in the evening, it was important for us to get all the pictures in early. We did their fist look and portraits on the beautiful golf course of BallenIsles Country Club. My favorite spot was near a large banyan tree. Tiffany and Daniel’s wedding was full of tradition and remembrance. Tiffany’s mom passed away and to remember her, guest wore a small crystal ducks over their heart – that way her presence was felt throughout the day. I love the symbolism during the ceremony where the couple breaks the glass, which represents their marriage will last as long as it takes to put the glass perfectly back together (forever). Their family and friends made the reception with heartfelt toasts, silly photo booth props and the hora – the dance where the bride and groom are raised on chairs. It was a joyous day and one I will remember fondly.

Jacksonville Golf and Country Club weddingPINIMAGE

Jacksonville Golf and Country Club | Jacksonville, Florida

I always start my day shooting the details, the primping and all the moments in between. My favorite part this morning had to be the shoes (her deep red bejeweled Badgley Mischka heels were awesome) and while shooting the “jumping on the bed” shot one of her bride’s maid fell off – it was hilarious and I’ll share that one Facebook. Ashley and Sean planned their outdoor wedding at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club and despite a sudden downpour, they kept their spirits up. By the time we were ready for their first look the rain was gone and the overcast sky made the best lighting. Ashley and Sean are a carefree couple with the best sense of humor. They made the day fun to shoot and knew how to throw a party. Their reception was complete with a live band, photo booth and frosting on their faces. I hope this energy stays with them forever and know there will never be a dull moment.

The Riverside Pavilion | Daytona Beach, Florida

The morning we arrived at Kari’s parent’s house, everything was already in full swing. The girls were curling, laughing and couldn’t be more excited – their energy was contagious! Kari and Chris choice to do a first look at a nearby park. It was a beautiful setting on the intracoastal, but windy was an understatement. Poor Kari’s care was whipping everywhere, however this couple were total pros and didn’t let it bother them a bit. My favorite part about shooting Kari and Chris was their enthusiasm and pure love for one another. They are a perfect match. They joined family and friends at The Riverside Pavilion; a charming riverfront location tucked away on the banks of the Halifax River. It was a joyous occasion and truly a blending of two families. I look forward to keeping up with Kari and Chris and wish them years of happiness.

Sugar Mill Garden WeddingPINIMAGE

Sugar Mill Gardens | Port Orange, Florida

Heather and Nathan dreamed of an outdoor wedding. That is exactly what they got this November at the beautiful Dunlawton Plantation and Sugar Mill Gardens. This historical site has 10 acres of lush botanical gardens, ancient ruins and a canopy of oak trees. Their ceremony was sweet and included a unity tree ceremony to symbolize the act of putting down roots, longevity and the strengths in their marriage. The couple’s reception was at the Riverside Pavilion located on the Halifax river. My favorite part of the evening was Nathan’s dance for the garter and Heather’s reaction.

Hammock Beach Resort | Palm Coast, Florida

Tiffany and David’s wedding was a complete destination get-a-way. Family members traveled to Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast to spend the week enjoying the Florida sunshine and celebrating this amazing couple. I think that spoke to the tone of the entire day – family and fun. When I arrived at the bridal suite the room was filled with champagne, hairspray and anticipation. Before I knew it, Tiffany was walking down the aisle with her dad and marrying the love of her life! The best part was her dad misspeaking when the officiant asked who gives this women away and him saying “Cheryl’s mom and I.” Everyone was laughing and I was so happy I caught their reaction. Their vows were full of humor and expressions of their deep love for one another. There were so many things about this wedding that truly inspired me – the property is set along the Atlantic Ocean with rolling green golf courses. I couldn’t have asked for better lighting as we took the bridal party pictures out on the adirondack chairs and the couple’s portraits. Tiffany’s wedding dress was gorgeous designed by lunss and the back couldn’t be ignored. The very last shot before we joined everyone for the reception is by far one of my favorite of the year. David and Tiffany, I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of one of the happiest days of your life.
